The United States has vast reserves of oil and natural gas, capable of sustaining growing energy demands for centuries. Policies promoting energy exploration and development, such as those implemented under the Trump Administration, have fostered economic growth and job creation. On the other hand, regulatory policies introduced during the Biden Administration have hindered energy production with minimal environmental benefits. Using advanced technologies, such as hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling, can unlock America’s resources safely and efficiently, supporting millions of jobs and reducing household energy costs. This Backgrounder highlights the benefits of revitalizing pro-energy policies and advocates prioritizing energy independence and economic prosperity under good environmental stewardship.
